Exeter City:
The tragedy of it all was that the City were still leading at threequarter time by the goal which Riley had scored with the game only four minutes old. There were only twenty minutes left for play when Torquay levelled the scores, through Brown. Exeter then fell away badly and allowed Torquay to get two soft goals in the last five minutes. Scorers: Allen and Rhodes.

EXETER CITY RESERVES 3 BARRY 1.
Kirk, a former Exeter City goalkeeper, was Barry's last line of defence at St James's Park this afternoon, and he was beaten by Bussey with only two minutes of the match played.
Exeter City Reserves:- Blore; Mellish, Little; Barnes, Coles, Shadwell; Turnbull, Bussey, Jones, Pollard, Millar.
Barry:- Kirk; Jones, Lewis; Mason, Turner, Ovenstone; Davies, Carless, James, Murphy, Allan.
The City, leading 1-0 at half-time, nearly went further ahead immediately after the interval but Jones's header was wide. James equalised with a much better header, then an altercation between Turnbull and Ovenstone resulted in Turnbull being sent off and Ovenstone carried off. Jones and Bussey, the latter from a penalty, scored for Exeter in the closing stages.
