EXETER CITY 0 SWINDON TOWN 0

Harold Riley, who has been Exeter City's best forward for most of this season, was taken ill this morning and ordered to bed by his doctor. Bussey deputised at inside right.
Exeter City:- Church; Halliday and Little; Walker, Angus, and Fellowes; R.Southcombe, Bussey, Bowl, Ebdon, and C.Sutherley.
Swindon Town:- Bryan; Parkhouse and Butcher; Cousins, D.G.Jones, and Wilcockson; E.M.Jones, Francis, Morton, Lucas, and Emery.
Referee:- Mr E.L. Davies, of Wincanton.

No goals were scored in a poor game which was largely ruined by the strong wind. The fact that Ben Morton is the highest scorer in the Southern Section with a total of 27 goals and Harry Bowl is only four behind him may have accounted for the presence of a number of outside club representatives. On today's showing, however, they could not have been greatly impressed.

SWINDON RESERVES 0
EXETER CITY RESERVES 1.

Exeter Reserves attacked strongly at the start, but were held in check by a resolute defence. Swindon advanced in an open forward move and Fowler shot just over the bar.

Swindon Town Reserves:- Efgrave; Connor and Swinden; Chambers, Morrall, and Olney; Packer, Painter, Fowler, Woodman, and Barraclough.
Exeter City Reserves:- Blore; Barnes and Clarke; Shadwell, Bamsey, and Pollard; G.Kemp, Turnbull, Rich, W. Morrish, and H. Branton.
The football was not of a high standard, and both sides made a great many mistakes. Rich drove strongly for goal, but Ephgrave was in position and cleared easily. Exeter took the lead after half an hour when Morrall failed to clear a centre from Kemp, and Rich, who was the Grecians' best forward, ran in to score with a rousing shot in the top corner.

Yeovil and Petters v Exeter City Res

The approaching end of the season was all too apparent in this Southern League match at Huish, where generally the play was of a very poor quality.

Yeovil:- Harris; Kingham and Todd; Mann, Wyatt, and Heward; Laing, Carter, Graham, Green, and Cook.
City Reserves:- Blore; Brown and Barnes; Coles, Bamsey, and Shadwell; G.Kemp, Turnbull, Clarke, Bussey, and Mellish
Referee:- Mr W.E. Phyer, of Weymouth.

Exeter City Reserves, although not at their best, managed what most teams have been unable to do this season, namely to take a point from Yeovil. The feature of the match was a sensational save by Blore, from Graham, when the Yeovil centre-forward was clean through. Brown and Barnes were steady, and formed a solid partnership in the City rearguard.
