Exeter City:- Lambton; Blood, Gadsby;
Walker, Coles, Eastham; Wardle, Cutting, Ebdon, Wright, Regan.

Half an hour from the end Exeter were losing 4-1. They looked to be a well beaten side until a fighting rally gave the home side a few shocks. The closing stages were fraught with excitement as the City piled on to the attack and reduced the arrears to a single goal. Exeter continued to raid persistently and in the end were unlucky to lose.

Exeter City fielded a reserve team at Home Park, Plymouth, on Good Friday afternoon against a reserve Argyle eleven, and were beaten by 3 goals to 1 after being a goal down at the interval. Singleton took the honours on the Exeter side, and but for his fine play Plymouth's winning margin must have been greater. City Reserves:- Singleton; Gilbert, Murray; Jordan, Barnes, Rue; Milliken, Dawkins, Hydes, Vaughan, Challis.
