Injuries continue to dog Exeter City. The latest victims are Ebdon and Angus, the former in the 3rd Division match at Watford, and the latter in the Southern League match at St James's Park, where the visitors were Gravesend and Northfleet United. Ebdon's injury was a twisted knee at a period in the first half when the City were a goal behind, and the depleted Exeter team never from then onwards looked likely to get back into the game with a chance. Watford's first goal was obtained by Harris ten minutes after the start. Ross increased the lead with a penalty kick awarded against the City for fouling Dunderdale.
