There was never any doubt about the result of the 3rd Division West country Derby between the City and Bristol Rovers this afternoon at St James's Park. Exeter were so superior to their visitors that they had the game won all along the line. In every department the Grecians were completely the masters. Collectively and individually Exeter were the faster and cleverer team, and the four - nil victory did not over-emphasise the gap between the rival teams. Exeter's triumph was easily obtained against the poorest opposition next to Aldershot they have encountered all this season. The visiting team had nothing to commend it except for the flashes of occasional skill shown by Wookey and the enthusiasm and energy of Leamon. Exeter's goals, two in each half, were obtained by Hutchings, Evans, Bartholomew with a penalty, and an "own goal" by Bamford.
