SATURDAY, APRIL 8TH 1950. Exeter City v Walsall
In the mood, Bill Harrower is a deightful footballer. He had one of his best days today in the match against Walsall, scored two goals, just missed his "hat-trick," and made countless passes which were of the defence-splitting kind. Harrower was a last-minute stand-in because the injury sustained by Regan yesterday enforced a re-shuffling of Exeter City's attack.

Match Report 2
In the mood Bill Harrower is a delightful footballer. He had an on day against Walsall, scored two goals, just missed a hat trick and made countless passes which were of the defence splitting kind. This was a far more entertaining game than that of yesterday against Bristol Rovers. Exeter were the livelier team, Though the margin off success was narrow the City were worthy of both points. The Home defence was the stronger, and mo Fullback on view equalled Jonnstone, he excelled in every phase of defensive play. The opening goal scored in the first half was the outcome of a sparkling movement, McClelland deceived two opponents, then passed intelligently across to Saith. The move continued to Harrower, Mackay and Harrower again who shot high and out of the Goalkeepers reach into the net. The 2nd goal after the interval was of the oppurtunist kind, Harrower met a left wing cross which the defence had helped on its way and volleyed the ball hard into the corner of the net. Devlin replied for Walsall late in the game, rounding Goddard before shooting past Singleton.
Scorers Exeter City Harrower 2. Walsall Devlin.

8th April 1950
After their long coach trip the previous day, Yeovil Town showed signs of leg weariness on Saturday. They beat Exeter Res. 2-0, however, and that's what mattered. It might well have been a closer tussle, but a fluke goal 16 minutes after the start took the wind out of the Devon side's sails. While the City side stood waiting for the offside whistle which did not sound. Ray Wright nonchalently kicked the ball into the net. Centre-forward Phillips claimed the second 15 minutes after the interval.
Result
Yeovil Town 2. Exeter City Reserves 0.
Exeter Team:-Hoyle; Warren, Rowe; Doyle, Carter, Squires; Rickard, Digby, Walker, Hutchings, Murphy.
