EASTER MONDAY,
APRIL 10TH 1950.
Bristol Rovers v Exeter City

There was too much "wind and whistle" at Eastville, when the Exeter City team, beaten by an only goal, suffered their first defeat since February 4th. The game was a best-forgotten spectacle, ruined by the elements and constant blasts from Mr Dellow's whistle for handling infringements which were accidental.

Bristol Rovers:- Liley; Watkins, Fox; Pitt, Warren, Jones; Tippett, Bradford, Parsons, James, Bush.
Referee:- Mr W.E.Dellow.
Exeter City:- Singleton; Johnstone, Clark; Fallon, Goddard, Davey; Harrower, Hutchings, Smith, Mackay, McClelland.

Yeovil Town 2.

A thousand Yeovil Town supporters saw the Easter Monday game at St. James' Park, where Yeovil were winners by 2-1. Yeovil had a shock soon after the start, when Dyke, in goal, failed to gather a shot from Digby, and the ball rolled over the line. Wright, however, levelled the scores before the interval, and Hamilton, taking advantage of a defensive error, got the winning goal in the second half.

Yeovil's points were not without cost. Inside-right Mansley pulled a muscle in the tirst half, and was a passenger for the remainder of the game.
