19-year-old Dubliner Tommy Sweetman had a brief association with Exeter City in 1965 after signing from Home Farm.
Arriving in December 1965 with fellow Irishman Pat Cavanan, Tommy - a centre-forward - was a Republic of Ireland amateur international who made his Exeter City reserve team debut in the Western League against Bridport a week later. Without making a first-team appearance, he returned to Dublin in February 1956 terminating what had been a one-year contract.
