Away Day Grecians
Give or take the odd cup run, or the few occasions in the early part of the 20th Century when City had to play at the County Ground (across the river in St Thomas), half of Exeter’s matches are of course played elsewhere. From Manchester to Maidstone, Wembley to Wattling Street, the Grecians have played in against all levels of opponent, in all kinds of stadiums. In recent years the trips to Wembley, Old Trafford and the Don Valley Stadium are perhaps the ones that stick out to most fans, although sometimes it’s that adventure to somewhere like Hereford or Hartlepool that creates the best memories... not forgetting the 2014 trip to Brazil that is!
