Biographical Text
Siddall was described as an enthusiastic Lancashire footballer and was keen to make the most of his first season with a senior club.
A powerfully built centre-half he had spent three seasons with Altrincham, in the Lancashire Combination, he was then transferred to Winsford United, in the Cheshire League, with whom he stayed for two seasons, before joining Exeter at the start of the 1921/22 season.
In war-time he was Centre-half for a naval team that played at Crystal Palace.
His first game for City was a reserve team fixture against Charlton reserves on the 27th August 1921.
