After the City v Grimsby Cup feast in midweek the Leyton League dish was unappetising fare at St James's Park, this afternoon, as the customers must have sensed what was on the menu. While 18,000 attended Wednesday's banquet, only half that number were present the subsequent stodgy meal.

City Reserves 2 (Dare 2).


The spearhead of many attacks by the Reserves at Gloucester was Dare, who broke away several times and scored both the visitors' goals. Robertson got a goal for Gloucester in the last minute.
