The Exeter City men fielded a team containing four reserves for Wednesday evening's match. Millwall took the lead in the early minutes and maintained their grip throughout the game.

Four goals were added in the second half. Frank Neary got a hat trick, with Morgan and Jimmy Constantine adding the other two.
