Biographical Text
Originally an amateur with Plymouth Argyle, Williams signed a professional contract with Exeter City in April 1960.
Brother of Argyle’s Johnny Williams, Peter had made several appearances for the City reserves whilst completing his National Service.
He had to wait until the following season to make his debut, the one and only appearance he made, being against York City in a disastrous 6-1 defeat at Bootham Crescent in November 1960.
After leaving Exeter at the end of that season, Williams retired from playing.
Peter died in 2013
