Biographical Text

Peter Williams, brother of Johnny Williams who played over 400 league games for Plymouth Argyle, made a single appearance for  Exeter City in November 1960. 

Originally an amateur with Plymouth Argyle, Williams signed a professional contract with Exeter City in April 1960. Brother of Argyle’s Johnny Williams, Peter had made several appearances for the City reserves whilst completing his National Service. He had to wait until the following season to make his debut, the only appearance he made, against York City in a heavy defeat at Bootham Crescent in November 1960.

After leaving Exeter at the end of that season, Williams retired from playing. Peter died in 2013
