The Grecians will seldom if ever have to fight harder for a point than they did this afternoon.
Their performance in holding the League leaders to a goalless draw was a hallmark of grand defensive play, especially in the first half, when the Rovers held a territorial command.
Keith Harvey of Crediton had a more than useful first appearances in League football, but the men who outshone all others were Goddard and Kelly. They were outstanding in a defence which was equal to the best that football can give.
