Biographical Text

Jayden Richardson, from Nottingham Forest, spent the 2019/20 season on loan with Exeter City. After his release from Forest in 2022 he moved to Aberdeen.

Jayden became a Nottingham Forest trainee/scholar in 2017 and turned professional in April 2019. As a new professional, without a first-team appearance, he joined Exeter City on loan in August 2019 making his debut at Oldham Athletic on 20 August 2019. Although never a regular starter Jayden appeared in twenty-eight league and cup games during the season including playing the whole game against Northampton Town at Wembley on 29 June 2020. He scored twice for the Grecians - against Oldham on 11 February 2020 and in the home play-off semi-final against Colchester on 22 June 2020.

After his time at City, Jayden was to go on loan to Forest Green Rovers (2020/21) and Notts County (2021/22). Having made two league substitute appearances for Forest, and starting two League Cup ties, he left to sign for Aberdeen on a three-year deal in June 2022. Making nineteen league appearances during his first season at Pittodrie, he was loaned to Stockport County ahead of the 2023/24 season (where he mainly featured as a substitute) and to Colchester United in January 2024 where he made ten league appearances.

Dropping out of the EFL at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, Jayden eventually signed for National League South Boreham Wood in September 2024 and was in the squad that won at Torquay United in the end-of-season play-offs and then beat Maidstone United to win promotion. Soon afterwards trying his luck in Scotland once more, he was part of the St Mirren team that won the Scottish League Cup in December 2025 with a 3-1 win over Celtic.
