Notes

*Arnold Mitchell

All record books have always shown Arnold Mitchell with 495 League appearances. Depending on who is correct for this game it might "only" be 494:

1953/54 (1953/10/10 v Brighton) the match report in the archive shows Donaldson as no.9, the Breedon Record Book shows Mitchell.

*Keith Harvey has always been shown as playing 483 League games. Depending on the following games the correct figure could be 482, 483 or 484

1964/65 (1964/10/08 v Oldham) The Record book shows Harvey playing in this game, the archive match report doesn’t.

1968/69 https://grecianarchive.exeter.ac.uk/items/show/17592#gallery-2 - written by Mike Blackstone in a programme shows Harvey 1 substitute league appearance not credited to him anywhere else.

*Graham Rees

has always been shown playing 345 League games. Depending on the following it could be up to 4 less.

1956/57 (1957/04/19 v Millwall & 1957/04/20 v Brentford) - the Breedon book shows Rees playing in both these games, the match reports in the archive do not.

1957/58 (1958/02/01 v Port Vale) - the Breedon book shows Rees as no.11, the archive match report shows Dale. Dale is also shown in the reserves team on the same day so the book is almost certainly correct.

1962/63 (1963/04/29 v Southport) - no.11, the Breedon book shows Jenkins, the archive match report shows Rees

*Mike Balson

possibly one less League appearance than previously credited due to this game:

1968/69 (1969/03/31 v Workington) the Breedon book shows Balson playing as no.6, the archive match report shows Mitten.

*John Wingate

possibly an extra cup appearance to add :1970/71 (1970/08/18 v Swansea, League Cup) - the Breedon record book shows him playing as sub. The Rothmans yearbook and the Grecian archive match report don’t.
