Peter Quarrington, from Seaton, initially joined Exeter City as an amateur in 1961 and later had a season with Bristol Rovers without appearing for the first-team of either club.
Signed as an a 16-year-old amateur in 1961, he later turned professional with the Grecians and played for the youth, 'A' and reserve teams without making an official first-team appearance. During his time with the club he appeared in the FA Youth Cup game at Arsenal in April 1963.
He then spent most of the 1964/65 season with Bristol Rovers but, after appearing in a pre-season friendly at Chippenham Town, left Eastvillle in March 1965 without making the first-team and later turned out for Dawlish Town.
Also appearing for Tiverton Town in the mid-1970s, Peter died in Exeter in 1998 at the age of fifty-two.
