Mark Cartwright
Mark Cartwright was a goalkeeper from Wrexham who played against QPR in a pre-season match in 2000 for Exeter City.
He was born in Chester, in 1973.
Mark was at York City and Stockport County before joining Wrexham and making his professional debut in 1996, he played over 50 games for them. It was from Wrexham that he had a trial at Exeter, however he joined Brighton, in 2000, where he played 15 games, helping them when the Division 3 title.
In July 2001 he moved to Shrewsbury, playing nearly 30 times for them in the two seasons he was there.
In 2003 he joined Halifax and made 30 appearances in the Conference until leaving them in 2005.
After retiring from playing he managed Leek Town in 2006, later becoming a coach at Livingston, and Colwyn Bay.
Mark spent some time playing in the USA and worked as a football agent and technical director at Stoke City from 2012 to 2019.
