Ian Belford was a Jamaican Under-21 international who played for the Grecians in a pre-season friendly against Wimbledon in 2000.

A former student at the William Carey College in Mississippi, he played for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men’s Soccer All-America second team in 1999. In 2004 he played for Constant Springs FC in the Jamaican Premier League. He also represented the Jamaican team in an Olympic qualifier in 1995/96
