Biographical Text
Goalkeeper Michael Horne was an 18-year-old goalkeeper from Edinburgh who had a short spell at Exeter City early in the 1974/75 season. He is believed to have played around half-a-dozen games for the reserves before returning to Scotland after a couple of months.
He had previously been on schoolboy forms with Dundee and on a contract at Falkirk where he had played for Scotland at youth level. He reportedly had a summer on the books of Boston Minutemen in the North American Soccer League in 1976 and also played in Australia and Hong Kong. He later turned out in Junior football in the East of Scotland and eventually became a referee.
