Biographical Text
David Jones was an apprentice at Exeter City between 1980 and 1982. He later played for Liskeard Athletic and Falmouth Town.
A pupil of Whitleigh Secondary School in Plymouth, he had been on the books of Plymouth Argyle and Bristol City when at school in spite of earlier attempts by Exeter to sign him.
Not retained by City beyond the age of eighteen, the left-back signed for Liskeard followed by a spell at Falmouth and a return to Liskeard.
