1980 Finn, Martin

Biographical Text

Martin Finn, from the Birmingham area, was an Exeter City apprentice in the early-1980s before becoming a member of the Tamworth team that won the FA Vase in 1989. 

Formerly with Boldmere St Michaels, where he had made his first- team debut aged fifteen, he had also played for Sutton Coldfield Town’s youth team before becoming an Exeter City apprentice in 1980. Appearing regularly for the youth team, he also a handful of games for the reserves in the midweek league ahead of his release in 1982. 

Having spells with Paget Rangers and Sutton Coldfield Town, he eventually signed for Tamworth where he was part of the side that beat Sudbury Town after a replay to win the FA Vase in 1989.
