Luke, the son of Alan was at Exeter City in their centre of excellence from 1995 to 1999.

Luke played 12 matches in the South West Counties Youth league and Cup in 1995/96 and 21 matches, scoring 5 times in the Devon and Exeter Youth League in the same season.

He played made 11 apperances in the South West Counties League in 1996/97.

He left Exeter in 1999 and joined Tiverton where he played 64 matches, leaving them at the end of in 2003/04.
