Goalkeeper Nathan Murphy was an Exeter City trainee between 2001 and 2003. He was registered with the Football League, and given a squad number, but never appeared for the first-team.
On leaving City, youth coach Mike Radford recommended him to Elmore and he later acted as cover for Stuart Fraser at Tiverton. He later played for several Peninsula League teams including Dartmouth and Buckland Athletic.
Nathan became a chartered accountant and, as of 2023, was a partner in an accountancy practice in Newton Abbot.
