Alex Higgins played in the 2001/02 pre-season for Exeter City.
At the time he was only 20, playing as left sided utility player, he had learnt his trade as a trianee at Sheffield Wednesday.

He made one apperance for Queens Park Rangers in 2001and later when onto play for Northwich Victoria.
