Biographical Text

Frank O'Hagan joined Exeter City from Stirling Albion in 1948 having previously been on the books of St Johnstone. He did not make a first-team appearance and joined the club around the same time as Jim Cumming, another signing from Scotland who did not make a senior appearance.

On the books of both St Johnstone and Stirling Albion at various times in the 1947/48 campaign, the outside-left made three league appearances for the latter before heading south to St James' Park.

Aged around twenty at the time, he made his debut for City's reserves in the Southern League against Guildford on 3 October 1948 and remained with the Grecians for the duration of the 1948/49 season before given a free transfer.

Spending a brief time with Bedford Town, he then joined St Neots in the United Counties League where he remained for several seasons. By 1953 he was making it known to the Scottish press that he was keen on returning to Scotland although the outcome remains unknown.
