Biographical Text
Phil Hartnell played for Exeter City's youth and 'A' teams in 1965/66 before returning to the club to play as an amateur for the reserves in the mid-to-late 1970s.
He was in the under-18 age group when he played for City in the Wessex Youth League and the Exeter and District League in 1965/66.
Subsequently returning to the club club to add experience to a young group of players, he turned out for City's reserves in the Western League in 1976/77 and 1977/78.
At various times he played for Exmouth Town and Budleigh Salterton where he also serves as manager.
