Paul Williams, a 16-year-old goalkeeper from Penzance, played several trial games for Exeter City in 1988 before joining the army.

Returing to West Cornwall on leaving the military, he played for Penzance again, St Just, Falmouth, Porthleven, Perranwell and -by 2014 - Mousehole.
