Molineux stadium has been the home ground of Wolverhampton Wanderers since 1889, and has a long and illustrious history as the first 'new build' stadium in Football League history. The ground has a maximum capacity of 31,700 and is named after Benjamin Molineux – a successful local merchant who, in 1744, purchased the land that the stadium was eventually built upon.
