Kevin, from Crediton, joined Plymouth Argyle as an apprentice, moving to play at Exeter City as an amateur, for the Reserves in 1977/78.
After leaving City he went onto play at Elmore, Crediton, Witheridge, Tiverton Town and Newton St Cyres.
He worked for the Post Office. in 2002 he had a Kidney transplant.
