David Spencer-Smith, a goalkeeper  made his debut against AFC Bournemouth on the 16th of October 1974 as a trialist.

David was from Cornwall and an Amateur youth international, he played for England against Ireland in April 1974. He also played regularly for Penzance reserves as a 16 year old.

He also played on loan at Dawlish, as an emergency cover against Falmouth in the Western League Cup.

Dave was playing for the reserve's in the Western League for Exeter in 1976.
