1972 Mustard, Graham

Birthplace

Exeter, Devon 1948

Biographical Text

Son of a former Exeter City professional, Graham Mustard was a key figure in the re-emergence of City's reserve team in the Western League in 1972/73 after a five-year break

Born in Exeter shortly after his Durham-born father Bill Mustard had finished playing for the Grecians, Graham had made a few appearances for City's reserves as a teenager when the decision had been made to withdraw from the Western League in 1967. With the team's re-admittance in 1972, the 24-year-old was seen as the ideal candidate to captain the side.

He also played for Clyst Rovers, Exmouth Town and Tiverton Town.
