Eddie Holehouse

Eddie was a goalkeeper from Taunton who played reserve matches for the Grecians in the 1958/59 season.

In the summer of 1959 he was transferred to Bristol City.

From the Bristol Post in August 1959 (British Newspaper Archive)

"Ted impresses. Ted Holehouse, the 20-year-old former Exeter City amateur goal- keeper, has been giving impressive displays in trial games this season. He is likely to be signed as a pro- fessional if this form is sustained. A former Pucklechurch goalkeeper, he went to Exeter last season and played in their reserve team. He was offered professional terms by the club but he preferred to come to Ashton Gate."

Eddie was playing for Minehead in the Western League in 1963 and was still playing for Minhead in 70/71 where he helped them reach the 1st Round of the FA Cup, where  "Minehead’s heroes were goalkeeper Ted Holehouse and captain Boyd"
