Hussein was a youth trainee at Exeter City's academy in 2012/13 and 2013/14. He had previously been at Southampton's academy from an eight year old and stayed there for 8 years. 

After leaving Exeter he joined Eastleigh, moving to Tiverton on loan from in January 20i5.
He played 13 games, in the Southern League for Tiverton, scoring on his debut against Wimborne Town.
