Darren Jarman was on a YTS contract and played for the youth team in 1987/88 and the following season.

He made his debut against Halifax Town in a youth team friendly on the 1st of August 1987 at the Cat and Fiddle training ground. 

His contract was cancelled by mutual consent in 1988/89
