Howard Madley
Howard Madley was in the team at Centre-half against Gravesend in the Southern League fixture at St James' Park in January 1957. He went onto play 10 games for Exeter City in the Southern League side that season.
He started his football career at Exeter, but was from Pontypridd. Howard went to school with legend and singer, Tom Jones.
Howard left Exeter and moved to Bristol Rovers then Cardiff City and then Newport County.
In 1963 he joined Worcester City for whom he went on to play 414 games in the seven years he was there, this included winning the Southern League in 1968.
He left Worcester and joined Merthyr in 1970, whom as Captain led to the Southern League title in 1970/71.
Howard died in October 2011
