John Charlton
John Charlton was a trialist at City in 1991/92 from Arsenal. He played for Exeter City Reserves in the Clifton Stockbrokers League, including a game Bristol Rovers in April 1992.
John signed for Arsenal, on leaving school following a successful year playing for England Schoolboys in 1989. He did not play a 1st team game at Arsenal and was released. After his trail at Exeter City, he moved to play for Bracknell Town.
A number of other clubs were interested in signing him and he was also offered a scholarship from OHIO University.
