Phil Mortimer was a left back who was on trial from Norwich City in 1991/92. He later played non-league football in East Anglia and became an osteopath in Norwich.
Aged eighteen at the time, he was coming to the end of his two-year apprenticeship with Norwich City when he played at left-back for Exeter City's reserves against Bristol Rovers in a midweek game in April 1992.
In the same Norwich City youth side as Jamie Cureton, he later played for Diss Town, Fakenham and Watton United.
