Patrick Gordon, a striker, was playing for Bromley in the Isthmian League when he had a trial with Exeter City in April 1992.

Then in his mid-twenties, he played for the reserves in a late-season game against Bristol Rovers. Had been on the books of Charlton Athletic and Millwall earlier in his career and also appeared for Leyton Wingate before becoming a social worker.
