Olivier Brassart arrived at Exeter City on a pre-season trial in 2003 soon after the Grecians' relegation from the Football League. A 26-year-old from France he was halfway through a career that also saw him play in France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Israel.

He started as a youth player with RC Lens before crossing the border to Belgium to play for RAEC Mons, Royal Antwerp and FC Denderleeuw. Later spending a season in Germany with Stuttgart Kickers, he saw little first-team football and tried his luck in England with Yeovil Town and Scarborough.

Arriving at Exeter in July 2003 he played in pre-season - and was even included in team photographs  - but soon moved on to Israel to play for Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin followed by a stint with FC Alle in Switzerland and a return home to France where he turned out for Giro Lepuix.
