Philip Richardson played against Dorchester on the 19th November 1966. He was an apprentice at the club in 1965/66 and 1966/67 who played for the reserves and the Colts. He played for the youth team in the FA Youth Cup in November 1966 against Plymouth and Torquay

Phil signed for Exeter and District Premier League side, Heavitree United in late December 1967 was selected for the England Youth International trials on 6th January 1968 at Uxbridge.
