Tony Stuart, who enjoyed success in a very good Exmouth Town team in the late 1980s, made a goalscoring appearance for Exeter City's reserves against Bristol City in January 1988. 

With Exmouth since 1986, he was part of the squad that reached the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup in 1988/89 and 1989/90. 

He later had a brief spell with Tiverton Town.
