Archibald played as a centre-half for the reserves in a number of games toward the end of the 
season.

Archibald Trowbridge played for Exeter City Reserves against Brighton Reserves on May 5th 1913.
He was at that time a 21 year old, centre-forward who had been playing for Bristol GWR. City won 3-1.
He had also played as a amateur for the City in 1913.
