Kenny Bryant signed as youth player on the 20th September 1974, as an associated school boy, whilst still at Hele's School.

He made his debut two days later against Clyst Valley, in the Devon and Exeter Youth League. He also played for City in the South West and Wales Youth League. 

He was still playing for the reserves at City in 1976.
