Alan Cottrell was a centre-half from Tiverton, he played in attack against Bristol Rovers in the South West and Wales Youth league.

Alan also played in the FA Youth Cup in 1974/75, and in the Devon and Exeter Youth League.

He played at Tiverton from 1980 to 1983.
