Having played for Barnsley and Carlisle United in the Football League, Paul Bagshaw had a brief spell at Exeter City in 2002/03 without appearing for the first-team.
Starting as a trainee at Barnsley in 1995, and signing professional two years later, he played for the first-team of the Oakwell club before having a stint on loan at Carlisle in March 1999.
Leaving Barnsley in 2000, he joined Hednesford to where he returned after having an unsuccessful trial with the Grecians. He later turned out for Emley, Ilkeston Town, Sheffield, Ossett Albion and AFC Barnsley
