Biographical Text

A military man from Lincolnshire, and stationed locally, Tom Herriman had a run-out in an Exeter City trial match in 1907. He did not appear for the first-team in competitive football. 

Serving in the army, and based at Topsham Barracks, he was twenty-six when he played in the public practice match on 30 August 1907. He was also known to have played cricket and turned out in an inter-forces match a few weeks after his appearance at St James' Park. 

In the Royal Field Artillery since 1900, he had served at Woolwich prior to his posting to Topsham in March 1907. He later returned to Woolwich before seriving again with the RFA at Lincoln between 1915 and 1919.
