Robbie Hallam, an Exeter City trainee between 1999 and 2001, was an unused substitute goalkeeper for the first-team against Darlington at home on 27 March 2001. He later played in Welsh football. 

He signed as associate schoolboy in 1997, became a trainee in 1999 and was a regular for City's under-17 and under-19 teams in the Football League Youth Alliance. 

Not retained in 2001, he later played for the Welsh Universities and Cwmbran Town and became a teacher.
