Biographical Text
Right-back Neil Pointing was an Exeter City trainee between 1998 and 2000.
An associated schoolboy during his time at St Peter's High School in Exeter, he first appeared for the under-17s when he was in year 11. Progressing to be a trainee, he was a regular in City's South West Counties Youth League and Devon and Exeter Youth League sides and also played for the reserves in the Football Combination together with representing the Football Association in a game against the Royal Navy at Portsmouth.
After leaving St James' Park, he played for Barnstaple, Tiverton, Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth.
