Kelvin Howe, from Liskeard, was one of the most prolific goal scorer's in the Western League when he was given a trial at Exeter by Colin Appleton.

He played on trial in a Macbar midweek reserve league match at the Cat and Fiddle in 1985 against Cardiff City.
