Kelvin Howe, from Liskeard Athletic, was one of the most prolific goal scorers in the Western League when he was given a trial at Exeter City by Colin Appleton in 1985.
He played on trial in a midweek reserve league match at the Cat and Fiddle against Cardiff City and later enjoyed further success in the Western League with Saltash United.
